really hope someone can help
ive got the openbox v8s sat box got a test line running now it keeps powering on and off on its own does anyone know whats causing it or is it a faulty box
freeview was working fine till i did the test line
any help will be appriciated
 
Does it do it as soon as you turn the box on or while you are watching something? Also, does the box reset on FTA now?
 
That sounds like a problem with the internal power supply, they blow a cap every now and then, if you can solder then replace the one thats on the way out.
I think its the 10v 1000uf that goes on them, replace with 10v 1200uf and you wont have any more bother.
 
Try a different PSU. If that doesn't cure the problem then remove all lines and see if FTA channels return. If still nothing and box is new then return as faulty. Do not reflash if you are returning box. If box is out of warranty then a reflash will become a neccessity but only use the earlier f/w'

It's only turning of when I'm watching the gift channels could this be a problem with who I'm getting my line of
