Thanks so much. Sadly, when i went back to the radio it seems to have died - the word code doesn't appear any more. I removed it to see if i could see anything wrong with the wiring at the back and couldn't. But i did see that the code is written on the radio - only visible when removed. and you are correct - it is 4554. but I think it has just died. Is there anything else i can try?

No - didn' work. thanks for trying though. Any other ideas, or is it dead?

If it worked earlier then you might have blown a fuse...or the usual culprit is a dodgy connection.

Remove all plugs completely and push them firmly back into the sockets

If you have a multi-meter then also check the battery voltage to the radio is present
