Help and advice needed please

Newbie
now I guess you guys here this all the time and had a look through the forum
And can't find what I'm looking for so here goes.
Basically I have a full sky package at the moment and being a big football fan I'd like to watch the 3pm kick offs.
Now some people talk about kodis which I know very little about but I've also heard of open boxes. Now any time I've tired to stream anything off the internet it's never been great, is there anyway to get the 3pm kick offs or even all the channels on sky and all football that's not shown through a box which works off satellite? If so would it be hd quality? I only have a standard sky dish at the moment but I don't mind buying a bigger one or what ever I need.
Any help and advice would be great thanks Ed

you can get most, if not all, the 3pm kick offs on different satellites,
if you want all the available KOs you will need a motorised 1m+ dish and a suitable receiver
there are however quite a lot of EPL matches on 19e which is gettable on a normal sky dish

Thankyou. So what box would I need to get? Do you have to pay a subscription or anything and if so who do you pay? Also are they easy to setup?

Or, you can just get yourself a mag box and an IPTV subscription. If you don't know what they are, a little research of this forum will get you upto speed.

Thanks for the replys. Just looked at a mag box, can you get a box that records? And I take it that it's all in hd and is running through satellite and not the internet

mag box streams off the internet,
and, from my experience, its not even SD never mind HD, but others say it is good

Ah I don't want that then which box should I look at to run off satellite?
that all depends just what you want from the box,
and if you are going to go motorised or simply a fixed dish with multi sats on it,
with the latter you are restrained just what combination of sats are available on one dish, ie, how far apart they are, and how big a dish you want to go for.
with the former, you will get much more choice.

you can get a box from under £50 to £300+

I don't mind getting a big dish if it means I get every channel. Last thing I want to do is get it on my standard dish and not get a game that I want.
Can you recommend any boxes and any dish? Also would I need to pay a subscription or what happens with it all? Thanks

yes,
you need a eurosub, and some matches require a 'BISS key' , so you need to ensure your box would support those ,
@mike142 or @ste knows more about those than I do

I see.
Can't believe i missed that part.

to op, if you have a firestick, you can watch iptv on that for 3pm's with no need for any other equipment

might be a bit pricey for a year just to watch a few 3pm's as most of them aren't worth watching in my opinion....most 'good' matches are live on sly/virmin anyway

Well I was thinking if I got all the channels through satellite in hd I'll get rid of sky so that's what I'm looking for really. Can't anyone recommend a setup?

You'll not get all the channels S*y offer through satellite (even motorised) although a motorised dish will get you all the same (plus a lot more) choice for the football.

If you have cable (V*rgin) in your area, purchase a cable tuner box for your day to day viewing and a cheap open box and motorised dish for your football which is what I done :)
