H9 NEWBEE NEEDING HELP WITH FLASHING!!

Hi,

Looking for some help with flashing my new H9 TWIN. I cannot for the life of me find an OpenATV image that flashes my box correctly.

On my old h2h it was a case of downloading from OpenATV nightly. Extract the zip. Copy Zgemma folder to USB. Plug in USB and easy days to flash the box.

I am aware the boxes don't like USBs more than 8GB. I'm using a 1GB stick. I am also aware of the method - pressing the reset button etc.

FLSH does come up, and the box does reboot as if it were a success. But my image on my USB is not installing on my box.

Even worse, after messing around with a plug in, my box is now stuck in a boot loop so I can't even FTP or use Webif terminal/putty etc. In desperate need of some genuine advice folks. Thanks in advance!

If you're flashing from usb you need to flash the full recovery file, not the one that is confusingly named usb.

Turn your box off white button at back and now point your remote at the box holding the red power button down turn your box on ,white button,it should boot to the recovery menu.
Scroll down to boot menu press ok and then ok on flash online image.

You have 6 different files to use on the h9 twin but what is on there at the moment (box)

Thank you mate. So does that entire zip file go on the USB? Or does it need extracted first?

Do you mean 6 different files from the OpenATV nightly website? I used the MMC one I think

When you download the files from atv it has 2 of them.Unzip the main one which has 5 in and you add part of the second file onto the usb as well.
