Is there a way of deleting programs and movies from the recent page? Maybe it could be added to the next update. The only way I've found is to clear the cache and data on the fire stick but that also deletes all your favorites.
On teatv you can tick and delete each film/program to clean up the page.

You need to contact the developers for the illegal streaming app and ask them if they can do this for you👍

He uploads modified versions of these apps on here, maybe the programmers could change something?

This isn't possible, if its possible in TeaTV, I'd advise you to use that instead

You would need to ask the developers of the app.
Not sure they are a member on here though but you never know.
They may be on discord or some other platform though.
The app Syncler has the customisation you are after using Trakt and you can also speak to the developers on discord and make requests for features.
The app is not free though and is by subscription only.
You would need a Debrid services also.

There's someone out there modifying the original app, removing ads, etc. Surely if they are able to do that they can add in an ability to delete items from the recent page.
Yes I can use teatv instead and I do use it but there are some programmes and movies I can get working links for on one app but not the other so I'm currently using both.

You can backup your favorites in the FilmPlus settings, then when you clear the data you can go back to the settings & restore the favorites.

You do realise that modding the apk to remove adverts, add change the scrapers etc, is a lot easier than adding whole new functionality to remove watched content. It won't be as simple as what you think it is...

I've no contact with the app maker just the teams modifying them to be app free.
