Filezilla wont connect to technomate tm-nano se m2 plus

Hello im trying to connect my box to filezilla. I have typed in my IP along with the username as root and the password blank... this is the error message im getting!

I have removed my ip address in the copy and paste below.

How do i find out what my username and password is for my box?

Status: Connecting to REMOVED MY IP
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Insecure server, it does not support FTP over TLS
Command: USER root
Response: 331 Please specify the password.
Command: PASS
Response: 530 Login incorrect.
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

Tried this mate still same issue!! :( IP stayed the same when i rebooted box and router

failing that, use putty to get into the box

Just downloaded putty... typed in my ip and its still not connecting!!

if you bought the box preloaded, the supplier may have put a password on it so only he can add lines etc
it may need to be reflashed
There is a way of removing the password but not sure if it works if you can't get into it with filezilla or putty etc

Ive been trying to re-flash with a usb... ive downloaded the latest openvix but when i boot the box with the usb the usual screen asking me to press the power button is not coming up and even if i press the power button the box still just boots up as normal!

power off the box, put the usb in, power on the box but keep your finger on standby button until it says FLSH

Is your "line/gift" still active?

If you flash a new image, line will be gone.

SOLVED

Hello all thanks for your help...

I managed to transfer the new image zip file through my macbook network window. Once i got it onto the HDD i used the image manager to re-flash the box.

After i flashed it i was able to access the box through filezilla!

Reflashing is often the quickest way in these cases
In most cases the software needs updating anyway as it's been on since being bought
