Email Compromised

I have an Alternative Email for online shopping, this usually gets bombed by discount codes and promotions from various online stores. Last week I've had 20 plus emails fro Microsoft saying this is your 1 time log in code for your account #####yahoo. Com
It looks like somebody is trying to access the mail and clicking forgot password. All these attempts are at 3am in the morning. Looking like outside the UK (or Techkings members .) Need I be worried. As they don't have the password, is it worth changing it. Thanks in advance.... Paul

Not much you can do about it mate. If your confident that your password is secure then just carry on as normal but for peace of mind you can always change your password.
Accounts are always getting battered by password attempts. Just make sure you have a long secure password/passphrase

I would change the password just to be in the safe side. Also set to two factor authentication.

These are unlikely to be individual targeted attacks on you. It's just bots trying to get access.
As mentioned by others - ALWAYS 2 factor authentication on things that are important.

I'd also advise using a password manager, like Bitwarden. You get browser plugins and apps for phone. Let it remember every complex, unique password for you

Had the same on Microsoft account. Was loads of attempts from 3am onwards.

There was a report off all the attempts and it showed if successful or not

There was one successful and the rest were failed attempts.

Changed password and used two factor authentication now

I use Authenticator app for Microsoft accounts.

I get them all the time especially for social media access attempts. Change you password and make sure there's plenty of symbols in there and not just letters.

Kept it as it was but now added 2 step varification, cheers for the advice...
