EE Router Blocking

Hello, asking for a family member. Have tried the search but most the posts are older with no update.

EE Smart Router
Model - GRV9517UWAC34-A-OT

Cant get IPTV to work, gone into the router settings and cant get to Access Control. We know its definitely EE issue as took the box elsewhere and it works no problem.

When we Google work arounds most seem to say family/parent controls but im told they have done that.

Any pointers please?

Thanks

You could try a different dns on the router or test a vpn.
Some do free trials and proton has free vpn as well.
ISP is probably blocking your sub.

It seems all EE's content settings is within your account and not router settings from looking at their help pages.

Ill ask them to login on the EE account to see if theres a setting in there thats overlooked. Thanks

I don't know if using your own router. Will get around it. No reports at the mintue
This is using the sky new white router that they are sending out to customers.
I don't think VPN's and router changes have any effect, it's on the account.
I'm not with sky or EE so not experienced it personally.
I don't think it will work as a deterrent against iptv usage, broadband and isp's are easy enough to change, - no one in their right mind is going to pay Sky £150 a month for sports and TNT when they can change their isp easily enough, they're just trying to make it awkward for people.
ISP's won't all get on board with this, they never do, it only takes one or two to buck the trend and they'll end up with 90% of customers, other ISP's see what's going on and crap their knickers and give in, it's happened before

TalkTalk comes to mind. They won't do anything apart from the minimum as they said anything that is going to cost them money they won't do.

So unless sky pay all isp providers to implement this tech and cover all costs I doubt it will catch on.

As it would cost them too much money.

Exactly, I've said this before. Virgin and all the others aren't going to go out of their way and spend a fortune in order to protect the profits of a different company, why would they?
Sky won't pay.
Zero, none of them will be offered a penny, they're expected to do it out of good will.
That's never going to happen, VM, Talktalk etc lose customers by the thousands in order to implement someone else's rules and regulations
