DVR P.O.E 2 cameras buying advice

My friend who was going to go wireless decided to put some CAT5 outdoor cable in today from the front to the back of his house so I said I'd help him do the rest.

He's after a 4 camera DVR + HD POE but he only requires 2 decent cameras. I've only used Hikvision when I've installed my own but they seem awful pricey these days.

Can anyone recommend a tried & tested POE system ?. I see there's cheaper setups on eBay but I'm not sure if their sh*t or not.

Any links would be brilliant

Perhaps a Hikvision OEM manufacturer might be cheaper for similar specs?

A brand like ANNKE comes to mind.

A search on google for 'OEM Hikvision brands' will provide more alternatives.

I looked at the ANNKE their all over eBay but I've not a clue if their any good. Plus, Hikvision, it's unbelievable the amount of fake Chinese cameras there are. Infact I actually got done myself last year buying a bullet camera boxed new. Within a month water had got inside the lense screwed it. Further checks by opening it confirmed it was a fake.

I just wondered if anyone on Techkings got a tried and tested alternative set up that's reasonably priced.
