Data Usage

Hi All :-)
I would't mind getting my Dad a satellite box with gift. The problem is he doesn't have or want any internet connection.
So I was wondering is it possible to get a box with gift and use a mobile device a dongle or mobile wifi device.
Does anyone know if this is at all possible and if it is how much data a month the gift would use?

Yes you can use a mobile. set it up as a hot point. (broadband connection) with the box. data per month about 2 gb

All openboxes work fairly well using a 3g dongle---data usage is low but use pay as you go and not contract [contract has a nasty way of suddenly showing as empty---con job by companies]
