create desktop icon for web mail

Hi guy's
How do I create and put a web mail icon on my desktop? I'm using windowsXP
I know how to do it for hotmail account but how do I create one for virgin?

Quickest way I can think of is the go to your virgin email account on web and when you have logged in Copy the link in the address bar and go to desktop and right click and paste it?? If it doesn't allow you paste it like that just right click and choose New then Shortcut and paste the link in the address field.
