Connect box to Pc or windows media centre ??

Hi All,

I have a s-v8 skybox/openbox and trying to get sound through pc (monitor has no speakers or audio input ).

Can this be done ?

Or is there also a way to connect box to windows media centre ?

Think somebody has done this on youtube ?

I dont think you can connect box to media centre. The only ways possible are these -

If you use scart output, you can get a scart ouput connector and a scart to vga for the image, and then an rca to jack adapter (see pictures).


Or if you want to do it via hdmi then you can do it with a hdmi to vga connector and then buying a small rca to jack adapter


All of the above things are relatively cheap and they can be bought from ebay. Hope this helps

If it's only the sound you want to send, then simply connect audio lead to line in jack on pc.

there is no audio output from the box without using one of the methods above, the box doesnt have a headphone socket or separate audio output

If you want to use the box for video/audio, you could use a capture card on the pc. However, a simpler and probably cheaper solution would be to fit a satellite capture card directly into the computer.
