make sure you enter 5 digits in the port. if your provider has only four digits put a 0 in front of it.

Do you have a USB and a laptop mate??
Was line sent in a file called Cccam.cfg or just text beginning with c?

OK that's a Cline and must be entered in CCcam.

So you have your line---it sometimes comes as a ready made file or as a line of code.
If in fileform then you need to format a USB key to FAT32 via your PC and insert the file into the USB root.
If a line of code then put onto notepad and name as CCcam.cfg then save as ALL file. Now do as above and install on USB.
Now insert USB key into rear of box.

CLINE INSTALLATION
1: Go to main menu
2: Select Network
3: Select "CCcam Client Setup"
4: Select 'Update files by usb'
5: In new window, highlight 'CCcam.cfg', press green button on remote (ADD). This will place a tick by it, then press yellow button on remote (READ)
6: Once finished, select 'Manage Config Files' and on new window select cccam.cfg again
7: A new page comes up with your cline on it, press green button on remote to make it active (tick should appear by it) Exit out of all menus to tv and reboot box, select a pay channel.. it should clear, if not go back into menu, select Network, then 'Network Setup', and turn DHCP on and then click apply..
8: If channel still doesn't clear, reboot box and router by unplugging both from power and plugging back in (router first)
channel should now be showing---if not then you have either a dodgy line or a dodgy box---try another test line --if no go then return box as faulty.

I use notepad++
Save the text sent as Cccam.cfg (exactly as I wrote) And save, making sure it's saved as a cfg file.
Copy the file to a formated USB.
Insert USB
Menu
Upgrade by USB
Select misc file if it says image
Go to select file
Highlight Cccam.cfg
Add tick
Yellow to read
Box may reboot when upgraded if not do it manually
Channels should work.

Reaper beat me to it lol

once again thanks for the replies, I have just been trying to enter the host, port user and password details via the manage config files option, I will try it this way but the only query I have is do I, when on notebook do I just type the host, port, user and password with spaces or on different lines?

In notepad type file as such [example]
C:grimreaper.TV.com 18880 reap666 12345666
Save as CCcam.cfg--All file--save and the CCcam.cfg will appear on desktop.
Now format your key and add cfg to it and follow instructions as above
Simples.

thank you, it probably is simple...but so am I :whacko: , I shall give it a try, unfortunately I am currently at work so it'll be a few hours before I find out if I'm clever enough, thank you once again (y)

Completely new to this. My father in law has an open box v8s and all his non free to view channels have scrambled. I expect he had a "gift" that expired. Reading this thread is the line of code you are discussing the same as a"gift" and if so where would I get or create a line of code? What I have written might be a load of cobblers and well off the mark so go easy on me ;-)

yes the above refers to line/gift.
To obtain, go to the General satellite discussion area in the forum and you will see the request area---there you will also make lots of new found friendsLOL
[please forgive the sarcasm but you'll see for yourself]
