Cobalt FHD....by fhroma... my new Skin

Hi Guys, after many Tips, Advice and recommendations from all the great Team here, i have finally spent the bank holiday week-end looking for a new Skin
and finally put the Turbo in the draw to rest, so to speak.

Its called CobaltFHD by fhroma its a python3 Skin for openPLi. I have installed it onto my openPLi v.9.0 image and apart from a few teething problems its looking good.
One of the problems is the picon...they are spread out all over the place /usr/share/enigma2/..../media/usb/... and named piconProv..piconSat...emu...crypt....zzpicon.......Lower Cap , Upper Cap etc,etc,etc....
The pfads make no sense to me, it just complicates the whole picon installation.

Second problem is the IPTV, i am using JediMakerXtream and BouquetMakerXtream and Xstreamity on several different Oct SF8008 boxes.
LIVE IPTV is = OK ......VOD crashes the Box as soon as a Video starts.
I have contacted the Skinner/Modder but he only visits and supports his Skin to answer Q's very seldom.
I have attached a Crash Log, perhaps one of you who has more experience than me have a look and see what needs to be done.

Third and last problem is the Weather app, it does NOT display the Icons and Animations correctly and mostly in Polish

JediMakerXtream and BouquetMakerXtream and Xstreamity , JediMakerXtream or BouquetMakerXtream not both on box at same time so I would say most problems are user errors picons can only be in one folder and all lowercase when naming

@moshibeth...Yes, finally given up on that one.
@ willo3092...Yes, i agree NOT many Modders or Skinners here, also openPli is also a hit miss Image here, you are right
@ willo3092... I like a challenge if i get a little Help, Support and encouragement.
@ moshibeth... I have done a lot of work already, only 999.999.99 to 1 left
@Willo3092...the VTI version is still a mess, been looking and reading all the Threads and Posts about this Skin before i started, seems the ATV is also half ready
and the openPLi is about the best because the Skinner uses it himself. Its gone from Vers 1 to 3 in the last few months and is being held up by the python changes.
Which are a real pain in the butt.!!
@ urie...small misunderstanding..Yes, i am using 3x sf8008 each one has either Jedi or Bouquetmaker installed NOT both on one Box, with Xstreamity on ALL.

Ok Guys, here are a few Screenshots, so you can see what i have done to date.
Syill a few Teething problems as mentioned BUT i will continue to read at Skinners page and hope to find answers there, i am sure he will help.
If and when he reads.
Most important is to get the IPTV VOD Videos playing without Greenscreen. LIVE and SERIES is OK...ANY IDEAS????
Did anyone look at the Crash Log..? anything in there of importance.?

If you're having a crack at it yourself, install the ScreenNames plugin by a well known skinner. I shall refer to him as 'Child C''

It is absolutely great for identifying which bit of the skin you need to be hacking about with.

Hi Guys, update on progress
CobaltFHD Skin Configuration

Still a few teething problems with various Screens and the acceptance of "emu" "crypt" and piconSAT / piconPROV,
Changed the picon for PROV and SAT looks a little better i think NOT so dull, BUT slowly and surely getting there.

Using JediMaker and XStreamity plugin for my IPTV.
On opening the XStreamity and trying to Play a VOD Movie or Series or CatchUp the Plugin Crashes and i get a Greenscreen.
Live TV seems to worlk OK no Crashes.
I have attached the Greenscreen Shot
Any ideas?

You need to say what version of plugins you are using.
A new version of xtreamity was released yesterday:

enigma2-plugin-extensions-xstreamity_4.49.20240530_all

JediMakerXtream is end of life and has been replaced by BouquetMakerXtream.
Although 'Child C' did release an updated version of JediMaker on 29th May.

OK will have a look at these two the BouquetMaker and XStreamilty and update.
I asked Child C months ago about Skin modding and he said he ONLY supports his own Builds. So no go there.!!
Will struggle on and keep reporting.

a Heads up : for xstreamity
openpli 8.3+ / openpli 9 please install from plugin feeds first to load required dependencies.
Then you can load the latest from this forum over the top.

Got this reply from OpenPLI Team
"Those renderers are not supplied by OpenPLi, so I suggest the skin you use is not compatible and/or contains bugs. Contact the skin author."
Now i am totally mind boggled, this is an image oPLi v.9.0 in Python3 and the Skin is also the Latest version compatible with Python3.
Why would the renderers NOT work.?
The search goes on, i am not giving up just yet. The more i look at this Skin the better i like it.
