Hi all.
Im new to the openbox scene and was wondering why i have loads of channels on my box that dont work?
I can get the normal uk channels but there are plenty that are listed that dont show anything but a blank screen.
I appreciate this may be very straight forward but being new to this i havent a clue so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Darren

What do you mean by "normal UK channels"? Do you mean BBC1, itv1, ch4 etc.?

Can you give a few examples of channels that don't work. Do you get any messages come up on these non-working channels?

Hi kremmen, Firstly thanks for the reply, I get all the s*Y uk channels such as sports movies etc but there are channels listed such as s*y italia, polsat etc that just show a blank screen

Ahh right. Those channels are on a different satellite to the one that you receive S l y channels on.

If you really want to watch those channels, you would need to set up another LNB on your dish, or put it on a motor, and then get the required lines to unscramble them.

I have 2 LNB's on my dish (19.2e & 28.2e). I only use 19.2e for the FTA channels.

Ok I see now so I will be getting another LNB and a motor will I have to subscribe to these channels ?

You will need another c or n line to unscramble the subscription channels on another satellite (the ones you mentioned are on 13e).

Not sure about other satellites, but there is very little English on 9e, 13e & 19e.
