changing mgcamd ?

patch

Member
im thinking of changing the mgcamd that is installed from the plugins , to one from the downloads section on here as im getting some freezing on some channels . do i just delete the original one using file zilla and then ftp the new mgcamd over to the box then insert my line ? or would i have to activate ( select ) the cam once its on the box ? as if i had downloaded it from the plugins ? thanks

Are you sure there is a mgcamd in the downloads section of this forum, I think it's just the mg_cfg file.

What mgcamd version are you using, mgamd1.38_r1 is one most use I beleive

i have deleted the original and dragged the file over but now only getting fta channels , i have rebooted box , why is this and how do i fix it ? thanks

i have managed to install an older mg cfg file i had on my desktop and its working now , why will it not work with the one from the download section ? thanks

I am having the same issues, any chance of a copy of that file you are using i have lost all my channels and think this is the reason why

Thanks didnt work for me though,

the mg cfg file in the downloads definitely will not work with wooshbuild 7 . why can this be ? can someone who is using WB7 , try it . thanks

I have a problem with my mg_cfg files occasionally hammering my internet requiring a box reboot,
this can happen on either of my boxes [ Formuler F1 and Edision OSmini ] and at random times, either turned on or in standby
is there a new mg_cfg somewhere.?
or should I make some changes to my cfg.?

you need to disable logging to console option in your mg.cfg file, just scroll thru the file til you see log function the set value to disable, then restart the gui

Thanks didnt work for me though,
It has an error in it.
Log option. Remove the red hdd bit.
Should look like this
# Log option, summ of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name
L: { 00 }

so do you just edit it and remove the 3 letters " hdd" ? if so why has nobody picked up on this before ? it must have worked for some people . thanks

Probably just a copy and paste error.
Yes remove the red hdd and bring the 2 lines below up under the 04
The hdd bit goes at the end of the 04 line
