Can I use a SAT Priority Switch

Fano

Newbie
Quick query guys, I currently have a Mutant HD51 connected to a T90 dish via an 8 way Diseqc switch on Sat 1 and a stationery 28E dish on Sat 2.
I also have a GTMedia v8UHD.
Can I use a SAT Priority Switch -(Distributes 1 LNB to 2 SAT Receivers) to switch between both receivers ?
Even just 28E would be ok on the V8UHD for the time being, I will run another Diseqc 8 way switch off the T90 when I get a chance, will have to drill another hole in the wall to run the cable.

I may be wrong but I used to have a sps , master / slave , only one receiver at a time can be used.

Yes it will work, as weinramer says, you will only be able to use one receiver at a time.

Alternatively, you could use a unicable lnb on the 28.2 dish, and connect both boxes using the one cable.

Also, kudos on the T90. I think you are the only one on the forum with it. What sats do you have on it and how does it perform?

Thanks Drox, I will look into that unicable LNB, all my current equipment is the older format.

I currently have 6 satellites on the T90; 1w, 13e, 16e, 19e, 23.5e and 28e.
6 old style Quad Lnb's going into an 8 way switch.

It works very well, but I need to realign it slightly, as I've lost signal on 1w. 1w was never great to be honest, I'm in Ireland.
I have a Satlink meter so I might have a go at it this week as the weather is good.

I have 6 more LNB holders spare and I have 8 Quad LNB's I can add if I need them, I have 2 Emp 8 way switches.
I bought them a few years ago but never got around to setting them up.
There isnt much open on alot of satellite positions nowadays but the v8UHD seems to open alot of international stuff.
Not a great interface on it compared with Enigma 2 receivers though.

I have the dish almost 10 years now and it still looks very well, a few of the nuts have corroded a bit.
Its on the back wall of the house on a set of T K brackets.
I had a Gibertini 1m dish on a motor before that but it was constantly being blown off line and I didnt like the noise or switching times so the T90 is much better.
