Cable connection?

I’ve had VM fibre only, for over a year.
I’ve just bought a H7s so have a cable tuner, if I connect this up (presumably to the router?) and get a test line will it work?
I read a long time ago that unless I had tv in the past the connection won’t be “live”?

Yes with vm broadband and correct splitter and a line should work unless your in Ireland=no go
