Buffering during football

Hey all

So I've trialed and had memberships to a few IPTV providers over the past year. When I try to watch man utd games sometimes they buffer every 5-10 minutes and generally unwatchable. No matter what channel it is. However when games arent on they are as smooth as butter.

My question is. How do I know if it's my ISP or a spike in load on the provider ? Is this a normal thing?

IPTV Troubleshooting
Sounds more likely the server is overloaded when football is on.
Because you say there are no issues when football isn’t on.

I agree with @Aristotle that I suspect the supplier is overloaded. So many people are trying to watch the football and the source is struggling to supply it. Whether it's hardware limitations or bandwidth issues at server side, it's impossible to know. You only notice it when football matches are on as there is a greater demand to watch the same channel from the other people the supplier is selling to.

It doesn't sound like an issue that VPN will fix. VPN's will work when an ISP is blocking the IP's used by supplier. It usually won't help with buffering issues, arguably it may make them worse as the connection to supplier has more hops along the way.

you have to contact your provider a ask them to generate you a new host url

Yes could simply be the server is over subscribed. But don't automatically assume
Things add up, so if your connection is OK, but not great & the servers are under load (ie football is on) that's when weaknesses show.
You may already be hard wired to the router, if not I would give this a try instead of using WIFI next time you watch footy

I had the same problem during football matches and it was awful everyday and it was a issue on the providers end they eventually found the problem where it was coming from and fixed it u need to contact your provider for updates.
