Best VPN for Firestick

Hey I was told by friends it’s advisable to use a VPN when using IPTV services. I will be using a Firestick 4Kmax.

My question is, firstly is it necessary from a security and quality perspective. And if yes would appreciate any recommendations of VPN providers please have good experience with using via Firestick.

Hey there! 👋

Using a VPN with IPTV services can be a great idea, especially for two main reasons:

1️⃣ Security: A VPN encrypts your internet connection, making it harder for anyone (including your ISP) to track your online activity. This can be particularly useful if you want to keep your streaming private.

2️⃣ Quality & Accessibility: Some ISPs throttle IPTV streams, which can lead to buffering or slower speeds. A VPN can help bypass these restrictions, ensuring smoother playback. It can also give you access to content that might be geo-restricted.

As for recommendations:

  • Surfshark is a great choice, especially for Firestick. It’s lightweight, easy to install, and offers great speeds for streaming. Plus, it allows unlimited devices under one subscription!
  • ExpressVPN is another top contender, known for its speed and compatibility with Firestick.
  • NordVPN is also a popular option, with excellent security features and user-friendly apps.

💡 Pro Tip: Whichever VPN you choose, make sure to connect to a nearby server for optimal streaming quality and speed.

I've mentioned before I've ran Nord and Surfshark side by side tested against each other 4 different IPTV providers and Surfshark came out the more solid less freezing.

Another thing with Surfshark v Nord, I found some regular forums websites would be blocked if I used Nord set to any country it didn't matter if it was UK or not were as Surfshark let me through

I went through Quidco so hopefully I'll get roughly £20 odd quid back but warning I selected the middle package at £52:92 and got charged £10:58 vat so £63:50 in total

I use Express vpn on all including fire stick and onn 4k pro streaming box and pc and others never had a problem with speeds etc

Tbh I don't think there's much difference between the top 3-4 VPN companies when your using on the PC- laptop-tablet-phone it's the IPTV were it differs, well, that's what I found out but I'm no expert so.........pinch of salt time

I use Cyberghost which I think is a good VPN, however when you say a nearby server is that a nearby UK server (I live in the UK) or a nearby foreign server? I use Netherlands which for anything bar UHD streams is always pretty solid

There's no reason to use any other service than Mullvad and if you get a good deal on black Friday, AzireVPN.

Nord and Shark have both the same parent company. Both have been embroiled in scandal and data breaches. You pay cheap you get cheap bla bla..
