I'm posting this for the benefit of those who want latest ABM but do not want to upgrade image owing to adverse kernel changes etc.

Best to uninstall existing ABM from the GUI first
Menu > Plugins > Red (remove plugins) > Systemplugins > autobouquetsmaker > Confirm removal.

Transfer the ipk to the /tmp directory

You can then install by
Blue > Vix > Install local extension

Or use command (make sure there are no other ipk files in the /tmp directory)

opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

Note:

For people with old images/boxes for which there is no longer ViX support.
(This is not for images using python3, you can get that from Plugin download server after a build is run)

For the benefit of people using Freesat before the next Vix 6.0 image update, ipks attached.

Once again, these versions are for Vix 6.0.

Note:
ATV 6.4/7.0 users should just uninstall the re-install ABM as they do almost daily builds and their plugin server will have latest version.

Hello @dsayers2014 is the mips32el.ipk the right one for a octagon sf8008 running vix 6 ( willobuild ) new box and build for me and at my age a pretty steep learning curve.
I am trying to get 101 Yorkshire West sd as first on list to make it easy for her indoors ( local news )

Isn't the octagon sf8008 a 4k box? If it is then you want arm version but I'm not sure. Your box won't let you install the incorrect ipk type anyway

No not the mipsel one. You should be able to remove it in the plugin browser and then add it again and it will work after a restart.

Vix hasn't updated yet so it might not be on feeds unless you have added it

Yes you are right it is 4k i will have a word with Willo cos it's a new install so maybe not on feeds yet.

This is for images using Python 2.
i.e Vix 5.4 and older or ATV 6.4 and older
enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-autobouquetsmaker_3.3+git965+bd0c9e6-r1_mips32el.

AutoBouquetsMaker ipk files attached for the benefit of those who want the latest ABM but cannot upgrade to newest image.

For receivers like: Zgemma H2H, Technomate 3T combo, Xtrend 8000, Vu Solo2

Installation method 1.
Transfer the ipk to the /tmp directory using an FTP program like Filezilla client

You can then install by
Vix:
Blue > Vix > Install local extension

OpenATV:
Blue > Plugins > IPK installer > select /tmp > Highlight the ipk > OK

Installation method 2.
Transfer the ipk to the /tmp directory using FTP program like Filezilla client

Use following command with telnet client/Putty (make sure there are no other ipk files in the /tmp directory)

opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

Installation method 3.
Put the ipk file on a USB stick
While there no menus showing, insert the USB stick into receiver
Say yes to the install prompt that will be shown

Choose your region/provider in tuner configuration and scan for channels.
Autobouquetsmaker wil have saorview in providers if you've set up the tuner correctly

I think you can use the DVB-T Frequency Finder included in AutoBouquetsMaker to scan and create a custom provider.

If the Terrestrial tuner is not configured, no Terrestrial providers will show.
