APK files

Dont think i have ever used an Apk file downloaded yet but have a question as i might like to download and use it on Windows pc and unsure of how to do that.

+ as i have an android tv and @ferret has many i might like them working also and also unsure if its downloaded onto usb and installed from there.?

Eventually i went to try to put on laptop but decided to use Android tv instead and Downloader and put Movie box on it to try with a code and installed but failed on a Firestick and told it could not be loaded?
Same code used but if i Google i can get different code number and wondered why ?
Do codes differ from other places for the same thing.

The codes are just shortened urls so it could be a hosting issue or the code is broken

But one code installed on Android tv but not on Firestick is what threw me.

+ on a different search i saw a different code for the same thing.
Is there a place for code listings as never looked for them

I see few downloader codes for various types of apps on Facebook if you join downloader groups on Facebook someone will post them for free.

I don't know if you have done this but enable developer options on fire devices

On your Fire TV, press the Up button until the main menu appears at the top
of the screen. Then, scroll over to Settings, press the Select button, and
scroll over to the My Fire TV icon. In that menu, scroll down to Developer
Options, and turn Apps from Unknown Sources on. You'll get a warning
similar to the one I've already given you above, at which point you can click
Turn On.


If you don't see developer options this is due to Amazon updates trying to hide the option.

1. On your Fire TV, open Settings.

2. Select My Fire TV.

3. Select About.


4. Highlight the first option in the list. This should be a reference to your specific device.


5. Press the remote as if you were selecting this item seven times.

6. When complete you should see a message telling you you're already a developer.

7. Press the back button on the remote to go back to the previous menu.

That was the magic that was needed as installed now and just need a code to advance.
