Android Head Unit KM to Miles Fix

Morning,

I recently purchased and installed a Android Head Unit to a car and it works brilliantly.

The only issue is the Cars Speedometer is now displayed in KM not Miles.

Would anyone know of a fix.

Tried this fix but every time the car is restarted it goes back to KM

I would ask how it was wired up and is it losing its backup feed and resetting to default setting.
Is car registering the correct setting for your area also.

If its wired up correctly and permanent live feed is correct etc its probably the file system that needs to be modified / sideloaded files etc

Hi that is the medifire file i installed.

This app does convert dashboard to miles but when the car is restarted it goes back to KM

This is the issue,

There is no no default setting for metrics option.

I personally think the factory android software is causing the issue

Sometimes radios are not wired up correctly with a permanent live feed for backup for holding settings and another live via ignition on to power unit on.

If your not losing any other data i will assume wired correctly.

Does it mention in your handbook how to change settings that may differ from YouTube and saving them.

No idea on updating car radios with android.

Reread all again as i would be only changing reset on dash and not have it working on radio as eyes are moving from windscreen to radio which can be dangerous and if speeding your eyes will focus on dash not radio.
