Microsoft took out many of the codecs needed to play 4k films such as HEVC also known as H.265. They did this to stop users pirating 4k films but Microsoft now charge $1 to download H.265.
The zip file has an executable that re-instates and updates codecs needed to play modern highly compressed files.
