I have a couple of ZGEMMA Star H2 and 2S boxes knocking around from years past and wondered if either would be any good to run Freeview on. Ive just bought a brand new Zgemma star H2. I am trying to set it up for freeview only. I have installed Wooshbuild infinity as I have done on previous boxes. However, it is not finding my tuner and thus I am not getting to the stage to put in my postcode for it to complete the setup. I am only getting the option "IPTV Only" or "my tuner isnt shown". I updated an older H2 to openATV 6.3 and then install the softcam_feed universal 4.3 r2 via ftp then an .ipk installing using the blue button.

I then i installed the mgcamd 1.45c r4.0 from the plugins/download/softcam as it's the 1.45c is the only mgcamd in there.


I ftped over my working mg_cfg and newcamd.list to the usr/keys. I restarted the softcam only to get a blank screen and Jack squidley sh×t.

Trying to load a new image on to a Zgemma H2S box but just cannot get the box to recognise the image. Tried 3 different usb drives making sure all inserted into the rear usb port and nothing being picked up.
Been told they require sandisk drive to work properly but not sure myself?

Anyone had experience with this type of issue and managed to resolve it

i have a zgemma star h2 with an old version of vix 3.2. i cannot open the downloadable plugins as it may be due to the old image version and i also cannot get to the setup as i dont know the suppliers password. i have installed the password cracker plug in through my usb but cannot get into the plugins.

In the past I've used jedi to install boquets and set the stream to dvb1 and all is well , I've just reflashed and now no channels will play when set to dvb1 . I'm having to set it to IPTV 4097. When set at this the record feature doesn't work as soon as a recording starts the box freezes . I had same issue a year or so ago but back then the streams would work on dvb1 .
