My current STB is a VU+ DUO2 ( six years old) which i use to stream IPTV channels via an Ethernet LAN cable connection.
My current image is OpenATV combined with Wooshbuild Infinity 6.4 and Jedimaker plugins
Meanwhile, most of my IPTV channels freeze at least every five minutes and I complained to my IPTV provider but he made me realize this issue is only peculiar to me and that other customers are not complaining

I am looking for advice please now on the best way to tackle getting him setup.
The box comes with blackhole image installed ... I assume this is just like openatv or openvix?
And if so to remove it do I just flash over it using say grog or willow?
That's leads me onto my next question, what build do people recommend now a days for this...

so I changed my default shell from sh to bash on my Vu+ duo 2 yesterday (chsh /bin/bash) and not 100% sure if this is what caused me to get locked out of my box altogether a short time later... I just kept getting "Permission denied (publickey, passwd)"... although I was still able to use ftp to interrogate files etc. I tried changing the password via Settings/network/password menu but this had no effect (ftp session had to be reset each time, but interactive login still failed.)...

can anyone point me in the right direction for a utility to manage my box via a Macbook. I used to use something called Xdream (or similar - can't remember the exact name) but that stopped working when my Mac OS was upgraded. At the moment I use a combination of FTP s/w and SSH directly to the box... but if there is an app out there with a nice front end - I'd use it!
Also, is there an app for managing changes to the boot logo?

Yesterday after upgrading each tuner to one of the latest versions of OpenATV 6.3 -12212020, I am unable to access my successfully created mounts.
I tried a clean install on all tuners too but didn't help.I get a message that says "directory/media/autofs/Harddisk/duo2 does not exist" when trying...
