I enjoy the challenge but am wondering what opportunities it could open up for me? Up till now I have always had a job doing manual labour but am open to a change maybe in the coming years.

Thanks all.

Recording video with cams Wed, 22 Jun 2016 17:15:38 +0000 https://www.techkings.org/threads/recording-video-with-cams.97519/ 97519 invalid@example.com (umby75) umby75 Hi, I'm looking for create a system of three cameras that have to send continuously video and audio to my Nas installed at about 300Km far.
In my Foscam FI8918W I can send only the screenshots to my Ftp server. Then probably I'll be forced to use a hard disk or a nas into the flat where I have my cameras.
I don't know idea what is the best convenient solution.
I'm sure that my cameras unfortunately don't have the video sending to a Ftp server in their features.
What do you suggest me?

The ongoing subscription charges

The cost associated with increasing your storage

Manually having to move files back and forth

The slowness of transfer speeds

Well, what if you could own your own cloud?

What if there was no limit to the storage available to all your devices

The only cost to increasing your cloud storage is the once off cost of a new drive(s)
Compare that to Dropbox prices which Starts at $99 per...

Seagate's Evault tackles both head-on by offering 100GB of enterprise-grade cloud backup free.
Specifically, that's 10GB of cloud storage for you, the administrator, and 10GB each for up to nine additional users. The backbone is Evault's backup-and-recovery...

This adds a nice boost to security for the service. Here's how to set it up. Two-factor authentication is an easy way to secure your accounts and essentially makes it so you're logging in with two things: "something you know" (your password), and "something you have," (your phone). Here's how to enable it on your Apple ID:

  1. Sign in at My Apple ID.

Wen I say "us" I mean the general run of the mill end user as opposed to the business sector.

There are some questions that come to mind that I will throw out to you all and would welcome any users input, thoughts and opinions...

What is Cloud computing? Fri, 17 Jun 2011 16:06:10 +0000 https://www.techkings.org/threads/what-is-cloud-computing.26143/ 26143 invalid@example.com (Gman496) Gman496 Cloud Computing Explained:

The term Cloud Computing is a metaphor for the Web and it basically means that you use a browser based system to connect to the cloud to do all your computing lol

Some of the advantages of this system is that everything resides on the cloud and not on your machine. No need to be bothered with installing software and doing endless updates. No need either to be worried by the risks of infections, all your stuff is on the cloud and not your PC...
